More Fireworks, all of these are things that you can buy on the side of the road here in Texas. No professional fireworks were used.

Photos

Another Canon photo, I am a fan of this photo due to the separation of the division of the sky and it's reflection. That was a wonderful morning and I am glad I went out there.

I would recommend that when ever you get the chance to find a nice spot and enjoy the splendor around you, do it. That is much of the enjoyment i get from photography, being forced to concentrate on things other than myself and view the world around you without predetermined judgments of what will be a good photo and will not be a good one. Walking the distance and letting the wonderful visions come to is such a relaxing way to be, and serves to remind me that I am only a creation, not the Creator. He made the sunrise, I just find a unique way to present it. I did nothing to make it happen, I simply got to enjoy it, and now share that enjoyment with you.

New Photos

All of these photos were taken on Saturday morning. I have had a wonderful time with my new camera and I am sorta proud of how some of these photos turned out.

Living in Houston does make one dispair sometimes for nice photographic material, and I know that the whole sunrise/sunset thing has been done to death. I simply thought that a good location might be found less than 15 minutes away from me, and I was right.

The photos are decent, and for the first excursion with a new camera they are not bad at all.

Leave some comments and let me know your thoughts.

My final thought is that the Canon 40D is an execlent camera, and i would reccomend it to anyone.

Near infrared photography is a blast. This photo is exactly as I took it, no post processing at all.

I think it is very intresting to look at the world this way.

Once again a photographic metaphor, beauty beyond, darkness near. The foreground is actually quite well kept and fairly nice, however if you only focus on the distant and classically defined beauty you may miss the wonderfulness all around you.

AKA, cool photo man, you ought to say something insightful about it.... dude.

This is what I think of when someone mentions a Lake. Boating (the cleat), Water (Lake...), Fun (Shoreline), and Beauty (The whole scene). I personally love this photo because it is to me, a scene of serenity.

It could also be seen as a visual metaphor, safety is nearby, but to go to the light and the shore beyond, you can't be tied off to the dock.

Yeah, same thing, diffrent color scheme. You say things are black and white, I say that space is filled with color. It is all shades and shadows.

Sorry feeling obscure today. I just think it is a pretty picture.

If you can look past it all there is still a wonderful painting of the evening sky. Nothing of this world can ever make that go away, we simply have to strive to see the beauty that was there all along, that we missed because of the clutter in the forground.
