Once again a photographic metaphor, beauty beyond, darkness near. The foreground is actually quite well kept and fairly nice, however if you only focus on the distant and classically defined beauty you may miss the wonderfulness all around you.

AKA, cool photo man, you ought to say something insightful about it.... dude.

This is what I think of when someone mentions a Lake. Boating (the cleat), Water (Lake...), Fun (Shoreline), and Beauty (The whole scene). I personally love this photo because it is to me, a scene of serenity.

It could also be seen as a visual metaphor, safety is nearby, but to go to the light and the shore beyond, you can't be tied off to the dock.

Yeah, same thing, diffrent color scheme. You say things are black and white, I say that space is filled with color. It is all shades and shadows.

Sorry feeling obscure today. I just think it is a pretty picture.

Pawns across the board, Kinda like real life huh? We always concetrate on the other guy and miss the fact that there are large blocks much closer.

If you can look past it all there is still a wonderful painting of the evening sky. Nothing of this world can ever make that go away, we simply have to strive to see the beauty that was there all along, that we missed because of the clutter in the forground.
